Hi Everyone,

We spent most of the day down in Victoria doing a little shopping and in a meeting.  When we came back today we snapped a few more pictures of the house.  Lots has happened since the last page.  Most of the inside is painted.  All done in one coat and most in two.  All of the floor tiles are installed and grouted except the tiles around where the wood burning stove it going to go.  The bath tub tiles are still to do.  The outside is almost 100% complete.  In the picture below we are looking at the front of the house.  The siding is all on with the exception of a small piece above the garage door.  The beams that are leaning right in the middle of the house are for the Pergola as is the large beam on the saw horses on the driveway.  The section next to the front door we are using hardyboard not hardy plank.  This section is painted but is waiting for trim.  The section above the entry roof is also hardy board and is yet to be painted and trimmed.

A closeup of the pergola but it still needs its cross beam and posts.

The Front door area with the pergola posts leaning against the roof posts.

Larry the painter painting the soffits under the deck.

Mark posing with root.  It was a challenge to dig up.

Some inside shots,  Jane with the vacuum.

Main bathroom with wall paint and flooring

Kitchen with tiles

Archway with paint detail between living room feature wall and hallway.

We should be getting the lighting installed very soon as well as the remainder of the tiles in the bathroom.  We are getting help cutting our woodpile into manageable logs tomorrow.  Then will come flooring, cabinets and plumbing.

All is good in Chemainus.
