Dining in!

The basement walls are all framed and the second story floor is now in so we can walk on our living space.  This is terribly exciting and we find we love to go down to the lot just to hang out.  We are going to meet with a landscape designer this morning to see if we can come up with an overall plan for the yard.

Once the walls where up the boys started to install the joists.

Once the joists where installed it took the framers a short time to put the plywood decking.  It is interesting that they used woodscrews to hold down the decking.  They are very meticulous and even removed the screws that had missed the joists.

Once the decking was complete Jane and I decided to have a wine and cheese in our dining room.

 This is the view from the dining room windows.  Except there are no windows or walls yet.
