Jane and I took 3 weeks off from the building program and went on holiday.  While we were away Tim and his team continued to build.  When we came back from the holiday there was still lots to do. Most of the finishing was over but there were still closet organizers and shelves to add.  We still had the protective cardboard on the floor.  The appliances, the bathtub and heating system had yet to be installed.

Looking from the living room into the dining room and kitchen.

Our new banister between the living room and the stairs.

The backsplash tiles in the kitchen.

Our new deck railings had been installed.

Bathtub was still in the bedroom

Mirrors missing but ready to install.

Tiling is complete in the bathroom with all the grout finished and the glass shower surround is finished

Railings being installed on the stairs.  The finishing quality of Dan our finishing carpenter is second to none.
Camping out after the appliances arrive.  Recently in Naniamo new homes have been robbed right after the new appliances have been installed.  Evidently the thieves watch deliveries on construction projects and the night after the appliances have been delivered the move in a steal them all and resell them as new.

So we camped out in the new house.
